The once-and-future Grace really needs an intervention. This would, in truth, have been fairly dumpy and unflattering even just as a dress, but once you find out it’s got giant floaty pant legs — like the garment version of her Smash character’s avalanche of scarves — then it really gets awkward.

28th Annual GLAAD Media Awards - Arrivals

This just… it is a grievous cut on her, and in general I think this needs a belt to hide the wonky waist seam, but that might not make it suit Debra any better. She just is not as funky as this jumpsuit wants to be. It doesn’t seem like it’s her style, and there is nothing wrong with that. It’s not mine, either, Debra. Sure, it’s fun to try sometimes, but on a night when you’re being honored it’s okay to choose basic and flattering over unbasic and whaaaaaaat. We can be basic together. We can drink pumpkin ice-blendeds and complain about J. Crew’s quality and Anthropologie’s prices, and quote ’90s movies like they’re new, and get excited about Pippa Middleton’s wedding, and admit that we would rather hate-watch Famous In Love than anything-watch Legion. It will be fine. It will ALL BE FINE.
