I have some concerns about this movie — August is not the month you release your best and brightest, traditionally, and also I did not think the trailer looked good, and also the ads don’t look great, and also it’s had several writing passes and also the release date got pushed five times. This is a shame, because I loved the book. On the other hand, just getting ANY movie made of your book is hard, much less a Cate Blanchett one, so MAZEL to you, Maria Semple. And who does complains about a lot of Cate Blanchett Promotional Looks? NOT. I.
