If I didn’t know better, I would have bet actual cash money that this dress was (a) legit 80s vintage, and (b) an outfit her mother wore to someone’s wedding in 1986, and Carey just dug out of the back of a closet in an organizational frenzy. I would have died for this look when I was in elementary school — and, reader, it is hideous. It is at least Whimsically Heinous rather than No, You Just Don’t GET IT Because You’re So Basic Heinous or Dystopian Heinous, but heinous it is. Most people would have thirty years to look back at this outfit and regret it, but I’m giving her…about a week.
