Programming note: We’ll likely be alternating BAFTAs and Critics Choice coverage today, as both were yesterday. If you feel we missed anyone, hang in there until day’s end, because maybe they’re in another slideshow.

The BAFTAs didn’t do much to tip the Oscar race, seeing as it had none of the same Best Actress nominees, and the others — Will Smith, Troy Kotsur, and Ariana DeBose — seem like slam-dunks. The only possible switch would be if Oscar voters, whose ballots aren’t in yet, decide they’re tired of the same names and opt for chaos instead, and that would be thrilling. So far, what the BAFTAs have in common with the SAGs is an emphasis on black dresses; while we did have plenty of colors, all coming up later today, the most-chosen color was the darkest. And to varying effect. Millie Bobby Brown whaaat.
