The National Board of Review held its event last night, despite having announced the winners in December: Rachel Zegler, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, and more. And one of the honorees was Aunjanue Ellis. King Richard is just as much an ode to the strength of the Williams women as it is to Richard — the title doesn’t tell the whole story — and her portrayal of Oracene really is wonderful, and I’m thrilled to see her getting recognized. Especially because she is never, ever boring on a red carpet. From metallic to pink to metallic pink, to a splendid pattern, and now to purple here, I think she’s teeing up something major for March 27.
