Women Talking is getting just enough awards attention — the National Board of Review named it Best Ensemble, and this is the party for those honors — that we should see plenty of Jessie Buckley in the next few weeks, which is thrilling. She’s another Andrea Riseborough for me — someone who fearlessly looks different nearly every tine we see her, and for whom I have a mild case of face blindness (I am always MOSTLY confident I am identifying each of them correctly). Jessie leans a bit edgier, and Andrea leans a bit Witch As Painted by Hans Holbein, and both make life interesting around these parts. We already featured Best Supporting Actress winner Janelle Monae and Best Breakthrough winner Danielle Deadwyler; now, here’s Jessie and the notable others, including Best Actress winner Michelle Yeoh and a lovely ending.
