I did not remember, when Katy Perry arrived as an angel to the Met Gala, that she already had experience wearing wings. These are much smaller, so perhaps she thought of the second outfit as the full maturation of a feeling. And speaking of maturation, Gaga arrived in an ovum and then burst out of it later, and Nicki Minaj dressed as a feline Elvira. It was… a lot, but in the best way, because I’m awash in nostalgia for bigtime bold fuggery.
