Andra apparently opened the CMT Artist of the Year show with a performance of “Rise Up,” because the event pivoted a little toward recognizing the ongoing struggles in hurricane-ravaged areas and the tragedy in Las Vegas. I wish I’d heard it; that song never, ever fails to give me goose bumps. But I love this red carpet outfit on her. Andra is always a bit costumey, generally with a highly vintage bent. This has more of a Wonder Woman flavor, which is why I’m totally signing off on the boots with this. She looks like she’s going to stomp in and save the day without even smudging her lipstick. If I could project her aura in front of me at all times, and have it wave away ill, I would do it. And I think it would work.
