Yes, okay, Cate Blanchett is not scheduled to be in Venice this year. BUT: She was on the jury in 2020, and it was one of the first major red carpets we got after the onset of Covid. She wore some archival outfits and some new ones, and basically poured us a Champagne flute of the content our parched hearts craved. So I figured we might as well look back not only upon that, but on all her Venice appearances — which are surprisingly few. But wow, the difference. Her “How It Started / How It’s Going” meme would be very positive.
