SO! I have been to several of the LA Dance Project performances (although unfortunately I wasn’t able to see their Romeo + Juliet at the LA Phil, which is the ballet that this gala was focused on) and I want to start by noting that they are great. If circumstances are such that you are able to see them in person, I highly recommend it. And at one of their performances a couple of years ago, I remember walking past a tiny, pregnant person and thinking, “wow, that pregnant woman is beautiful.” Friends, yes: That woman was Natalie Portman. She’s at this event too — not pregnant (to my knowledge!), but still so pretty. Also: Embarrassing moms, and shoes that I suspect will be divisive!
