I was JUST saying that I thought Elle Fanning should branch out from her usual princess-chic. I feel vindicated! She looks very streamlined and chic here. FWIW, for those of you keeping score at home, Nicole is not playing Elle’s mom — that role went to Michelle Pfeiffer, who didn’t come to this event. Nicole is playing “Margo’s and her professor’s mediator,” a role I only vaguely think I remember from the book (which I loved). Nicole and Michelle are both producers, and this project is a co-production from both Kidman’s company and Mr. Michelle Pfeiffer’s (David E. Kelley), so I’m not surprised that a space was made for her. And it’s not like I’m ever going to complain about Nicole Kidman content. BTW, she is feeling herself, post-Keith:
