Robert Wun said his collection’s starting point was “the frenzy and confusion he experienced behind the scenes during preparations for last year’s Met Gala,” and then, “Part whodunnit, part get-ready-with-me, he explored the different stages of preparing for what was to be a very strange day.” This cracks me up because this first dress looks like a crime scene, and he’s totally done horror-inspired and murder-adjacent collections before; maybe fashion people just really enrage him.
There’s some gorgeous stuff in the rest of the collection — it is overall low on murder — but the final hat is the stuff of actual nightmares.
