I just realized we haven’t run a proper “What Are You Reading?” chat yet THIS YEAR! (Although I’ve used it as a prompt for a lot of book giveaways.) This seems like an error on my part, and one we must swiftly remedy. So: What are you reading?
I’ll go first. I’m attempting to read some of the books I have on my Kindle that I bought a long time ago and haven’t gotten around to, which is why I’m 70% through with Midnight in Peking: How the Murder of a Young Englishwoman Haunted the Last Days of Old China by Paul French, which came out over ten years ago. Normalize reading the backlist! Anyway — it’s excellent. I do not know much at all about 1930s China and it is FASCINATING, and also educational. Your turn!
