There are a LOT of different “Ace” and “ACE” Awards in this world — it’s a very common acronym, I guess — but this one stands for Accessories Council Excellence Awards and it is….for excellence in accessories, duh. I love reading the winners for this event because some of them are really niche (which is as it should be here), like they’re very excited about a Samsonite spinner suitcase because it’s such a big seller. (It IS a beautiful suitcase AND a good price? I guess the Accessories Council knows their shit.) I also love the idea that someone can design a clever toiletry bag and get recognized for it. In addition to all this stuff, this year the Council recognized LaQuan Smith, Christian Siriano, and Wes Gordon for “accomplishments in COVID relief, sustainability, ongoing charitable work and/or inclusivity and diversity over the past year.” Good for everyone! Let’s see what people wore.
