Lupita Nyong’o’s uneven press tour — “uneven” might be generous — crested last night in London, when she wore a much improved gold-and-black number. But Danai Gurira stole the show, with a wild red-carpet look that gave way to a great one at the post-party. I only wish Angela Bassett had joined the party, but she probably had to report back to 911, hopefully for one of their signature three-episode disaster arcs where, like, Dodger Stadium gets sucked into a sinkhole and then we never hear anything about it again. Those are the best. Per that show, neither the Hollywood sign nor the Santa Monica Pier should still exist, and that’s just from the last two or three seasons. I KNOW I’m missing some.
