When I tried to figure out what this event is, I discovered that apparently various Saturday Night Live people always attend it. I was going to joke that it’s because Lorne Michaels is himself considered as much a dinosaur as the towering skeletons in the museum itself, but in fact, it’s because Lorne Michaels co-chairs the event and basically requires a certain level of attendance.
