We are a far cry from the elegance of the prior Valentino eras. Former Gucci designer Alessandro Michele prefers over-the-top bohemian glam, and now I guess Valentino does, too. He makes me a little crabby, admittedly, but this feels a bit like he’s making himself the star of the show, rather than centering the legacy brand that hired him.
