It’s back! Will Vogue even continue to HAVE covers as we all speed toward the death of print? Let’s stick our fingers in our ears and pretend that isn’t happening. In case you missed it, new “head of editorial content” Chloe Malle plans to cut back on the number of issues Vogue puts out a year, and recently announced that 2026 will only offer 8 issues. Per Vogue itself, these issues will be “timed to tentpole moments and events like spring and autumn fashion, the Met Gala and Vogue World. The issues will be bigger than Vogue readers are currently used to, and printed on thicker paper.” (Chloe Malle is really excited about this paper stock; I predict people will hate it.) Good luck with all that! No, sincerely, good luck — Vogue going belly-up would be demonstrably depressing.
If you want to check on your guesses from last year, that post lives here. I did AWFULLY, I got almost NOTHING, although I did think A$AP Rocky would land one. I certainly did not think Anna would wave farewell with this fiasco, or that we’d get so much Lauren Sánchez Bezos content. This year, the celeb hosts of the Met Gala are Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams, and while I am SURE Chloe Malle is trying to get Beyoncé to agree to a cover, I think it’s 40/60 that she’ll got for it. (Nicole, on the other hand, is overdue. I’d love to see Venus but I would be surprised.) If you forgot what covers we even got this year, you can quickly see them here; we do the bulk of our cover coverage at Drinks With Broads, if this is something you’d like to yak about during the upcoming year.
