My favorite part about watching the AMAs was the surprising number of crowd shots in which the people were pretending to know the song they were listening to, and visibly bungling the words. For example, several of the unnamed Youngs in the crowd were swaying to the anniversary performance of “Unbreak My Heart,” and trying to mumble words that looked like the right ones. Even Taylor Swift’s dad, bless him, was trying to sing “Love Story” and whiffed a line. I find it sort of endearing, because I ALWAYS think, “If that were me in the front row and I had to look like I knew and was equally excited for EVERY SONG, I would fail, and I’d probably even mess up the ones I know.” Anyway. Here is Taylor, the Artist of the Decade, and a bunch of other people.
