God bless Sofia Carson, and I am not being sarcastic. No matter what event she’s attending, or where the red carpet may be, she will show up in a major label. She WILL wear a gown. She will give us something to discuss — like this Elie Saab sported at the premiere of a Netflix movie she stars in and executive produced.

The internet says “[a]n aspiring musician agrees to a marriage of convenience with a soon-to-deploy Marine, but a tragedy soon turns their fake relationship all too real.” (I assume, without doing any further research, that he is injured when on deployment and she feels obligated to stick around and nurse him back to health, then they fall in love.) I have to say that the black neck and waistbands on this one sort of make it feels slightly like an Elie Saab Designer Imposter — call it Selie Aab — despite being, as her looks aways are, 100% legit. It might also feel better for this event if it were shorter, although that might push it too definitively into Figure Skating Costume Territory. In other words, I have notes but don’t totally know what they are. What do you think?
