The Met is tonight, and in the run-up, there was a Christopher John Rogers resort show, an Armani party, the opening of a new Gucci boutique, and a bash at resale shop What Goes Around Comes Around in honor of Karl Lagerfeld. Presumably a lot of these were planned assuming that celebrities would already be in New York getting ready for the big night; it’ll be interesting to see how many of these guests also turn up at the museum on Monday night. Soon we’ll know.
