Saoirse is in a new movie, The Outrun, that’s directed by a woman and co-written by two OTHER women (one of whom wrote the novel that’s the source material). Hooray for female filmmakers at all points of the process. And Saoirse herself looks nifty in this silvery sweater-dress, which is actually designed like an overlay:
It’s like cable-knit chain mail. Maybe her woman-centric crew of warriors on the film inspired her to go with a light Joan of Arc motif. After all, we’ve had people dressing up as robots and tennis courts and flower shops, so reading into this isn’t THAT much of a stretch.
