I’ve complained a lot lately about black backdrops, and how black frocks blend into them. But I feel like that’s Rooney Mara’s dream. She always looks like she’d gladly disappear into the wall.
It’s all fine, but it’s so… black with a splash of nude, lather, rinse, repeat. The next time she’s in a project with awards momentum, I would LOVE to see her just go totally off the fashion rails for the duration of one season. No more black, or cream, or white. I’m talking FULL Richard Quinn floral wallpaperings and some bright Christopher John Rogers bubble skirts, and even a Marc Jacobs Slanket. Let’s DO THIS, Rooney. Let’s get silly.
