I did not watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade — I respect the lovers of this particular parade, but I grew up in Southern California and the Rose Parade has made us very snooty about other parades! — but I heard that everyone’s vocal tracks were super f’ed up, and their lip-syncing looked terrible. (Even John Legend had to lip-sync; my question is, does he also hand-sync the piano? Logistical questions!) Regardless: Rita’s tweet about this debacle made me laugh:
Fun fact @johnlegend thank you for clarifying what I was about to also tweet. It’s annoying for us but anyway! All my shows are 100 percent live always have been! When you come to a ORA show get ready! Back to holidays! Have a good one guys! 🙂 X https://t.co/pO5hnnQgvg

Something about her all-capsing her own name is cute to me. I don’t know. Years of looking at Rita’s wacky outfits have made me feel very fond and protective of her. (Her album also came out this weekend and it’s getting pretty good reviews. Good for you, Rita!)
