Riley here is nominated for a Globe for The Girlfriend Experience, which is Steven Soderbergh’s project about a lawyer who’s also a high-end escort. (I’m re-watching season one of The West Wing right now, and so suddenly that premise sounds awfully familiar.) And, presumably just in case most people don’t know that, she showed up to the National Board of Review event dressed somewhat like what your regular call girl might wear when she pops by for Christmas cocktails, and/or when she’s trying to convince you to stuff your stockings non-euphemistically with an array of gift cards for her services. I mean, I guess you could stick those in someone else’s stockings, too, but a) it’s creepy, and b) most people will be plenty surprised by a bunch of scratchers and a chocolate orange, so… just do that.
