Raf Simons, whose tenures at Dior and (very briefly) Calvin Klein were not popular with me, joined Prada earlier this year to act as a kind of co-designer with Miuccia. But Covid delayed their joint debut, and that means this Spring/Summer 2021 collection is the first glimpse of what we’ll see. If it feels calmer and more distilled, that’s by choice, apparently, as if hitting a reset button. But so far the first thing I see in every photo is the giant Prada logo at the model’s neck. Sigh.
