Jessie J has had a ROUGH summer: She had surgery in June for breast cancer and was hospitalized for an infection in early August. Ergo, in a very real I do not care what she wears, so long as she’s comfortably out and about and feeling better. But I like to think that Jessie J is herself sick of having a crappy summer, and wanted to saunter out in London to bring joy and amusements to the people, and thereby, to herself. And thus, DOUBLE PANTS WHAT. I wouldn’t be surprised if she wanted to make sure people saw her looking well after such a worrisome stretch, and what better way to guarantee a photo than by wearing with pants that are essentially pantsing themselves? You don’t choose those pants without being fully aware they are THOSE PANTS. Her jeans are wearing jeans. They are saggy denim legwarmers upon legs already warmed, and they are mysterious and strange and ABSOLUTELY worth leaving the house in for her first appearance in a long time. Welcome back! Keep it coming, girl.
