One of Australia’s big racing festivals, the Melbourne Cup Carnival, typically takes place around now — and in fact IS currently, I believe, but without the flurry of exciting guests. In recent years, our particular available archive is light, but after digging up SJP’s carnival game of a hat for an earlier post, I decided to do a grab bag of other hats. Why? Because it’s Thursday, and Thursday is almost Friday, which is basically the weekend — and also this week has been three months long, which is really saying something considering that March was six years ago.
