I continue to enjoy that people are calling Balenciaga and saying, “Demna, make me something… that Cristobal designed.” You may recall Carey Mulligan did that for the Oscars, and it was quite wonderful; Nicole’s probing of the archive is a delightful leadoff pitch for our post on black-and-white outfits at the Met. I will waive my indifference to her in white, when it works as well as this does.
