Jennifer co-chaired this gala, which was an admittedly strange choice to me — not least because I feel like someone who basically signed her youth away to one designer is an unusual pick to head up a gala devoted to a wide swath of fashion. Insert the usual gripe about the two years remaining on this unholy pact — followed by my usual suspicion that she either doesn’t care that much, doesn’t have a good sense for what works, or both.
