Fun fact: The dress also has an open back. (I sort of like it better on the model; the contrasting trim kind of pulls it all together.) She is very cute as a person and this dress is very confusing as a garment. There’s so much happening! A harness! A open back! At least three different fabrics! Many a ruffle! And I get how it came to be here; to me, this feels like something you’d find in your size and in a great price at the Barney’s Warehouse Sale — RIP, beloved!!! — and be like, “I think this is just weird enough to work,” because you’re in a Warehouse Sale FRENZY and then you get it home and every time you see it in the closet, you hear a voice in your head saying, “or maybe it’s just weird????” Not that that ever happened to me or anything.
