I assume Rihanna here is FaceTime-ing with someone at Merriam-Webster, to discuss what exactly the technical name for this garment is. It’s a hoodie and a jacket and kind of a caftan, or a dress. Is it a jaftan? A jacktan? A cafdet? A hojaftess? I have to be honest, most of those words sound like insults you’d hurl at a person. “Go away, jacktan.” “OMG Kate Hudson is such a hojaftess.” “Easy with the absinthe, there, jaftan.” But I still think “jaftan” is my winner. Either way, I appreciate her for finding this zippable sleeved parachute so that I have an excuse to make word salad today.
