When Maggie showed up at Telluride, I almost joked (or even just half-joked) that she must have known she wasn’t winning anything in Venice or else she’d have skipped the long flight. WELL. What do I know? Because she zipped right back to Italy to accept the statuette for the screenplay for My Lost Daughter. Her mother is an Oscar-nominated screenwriter, so I imagine it’d be pretty cool for them if this foreshadowed some awards recognition for Maggie’s work on the page, too.

And now Venice has come to a close, so here is Maggie from closing night, plus a whole horde of celebs from the last half of the festival — and, some unknowns (to us) who just went big with their outfits. It’s like Baby Cannes up in here.
