Well, technically Lana has been on the big screen before — she’s apparently in X-Men: Apocalypse — but she was so delightful in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before that I’m thrilled to see her in a big studio release relatively soon on its heels. Hopefully that means she’s going to storm screens of all sizes. The young woman playing the actual Alita in Alita: Battle Angel (which is based on manga, and I don’t know anything about the source material, so it’s hard to tell whether this looks good or bad) is named Rosa Salazar, and she’s is apparently in Bird Box. So Netflix movies are all over it in terms of casting, basically.
