I’m so MAD at myself, you guys. This is from Erdem’s Fall/Winter 2016 line, which for some reason we did not write about — London Fashion Week often collides with the Emmys, and I suspect it got lost in the shuffle — and when I saw it just now, I smugly thought, “I’m SURE I predicted Michelle Dockery would wear that and I WAS RIGHT. I’m amazing.” I’m also wrong, as I predicted it for nobody and no one. Having said that: This dress is very on brand for her. She loves to dress like the inside of a very fabulous corner of Liberty, where all they sell are leather-bound first editors and brandy snifters — and don’t get me wrong, I’d love to live in that corner. Wearing it is rather a different story though.
