This is the first Kate Spade show designed by their new creative director, Nicola Glass, who used to be at Michael Kors,¬†and (a) you can see the Kors DNA in it, which isn’t a bad thing (Michael Kors and Kate Spade share the same kind of chipper, preppy aesthetic), and (b) it’s very good, especially in comparison to last season, which was an off-brand mess.

Kate Spade herself, of course, hasn’t actually been involved in the line since 2006, but the brand rightly paid tribute to her:
