I’m not at all surprised Kate Hudson got a Globe nomination for Song Sung Blue; the Globes would nominate Kate Hudson for anything to get her in the building. Kate Hudson could film a one-woman gender-flipped performance of James Joyce’s Ulysses and the Globes would stick her in Musical Theatre/Comedy and nominate her — and also, I’d be willing to sample this surely very creative endeavour. I am a little surprised that Jackman didn’t sneak in and I suspect he is, too, hence why he just gave up on his footwear here and wore the ones he left by the door after he got back from the market the night before.
