Allow me to be honest: I am writing this on Sunday afternoon. This weekend in Los Angeles has been brutal and I have spent much of it Googling “LOS ANGELES HOTEL POOL DAY PASS” and watching baseball, where everyone looks sweaty and miserable. We broke heat records in Southern California this weekend. I do not have central air — my apartment is old and well-constructed and it’s normally fine but there’s only so much thick walls and a wall unit can do. In short: IT’S BEEN UNPLEASANT. And, ergo, when I saw this pleasantly swingy, but totally normal, Casual Summer Dinner Out Dress, I thought, “ooh, that looks nice and breezy” and I downloaded it the way I wish I could a backyard pool.
