I know, I know, the Golden Globes are basically corrupt and for sale, because the HFPA is ridiculous. But people still totally care about them, because people LOVE TROPHIES, and winning things. So I’m sure the Beale Street crowd was very excited to have the movie nominated, and this means we’re going to see a lot of KiKi Layne this season, which thrills ME because she is sartorially really interesting. I just wish nominee Regina King had been to this event (which happened on Wednesday). But that’s okay. We’ll get plenty of her, too, and awards red carpet have been, historically, really excellent for her.
