What an absolute dish. She told People that when her grey started coming in, she decided she’d always wanted to go full Helen Mirren and chopped it all off and went for it. Going Full Mirren is really all anyone can dream as they age, and Janney did her Dame Helen homage with panache — even if this particular St. John ensemble mixes white and cream in a way that I always find distracting. (This is a better angle on it, which also reveals it’s a giant Ace bandage.) I just always think the bright white makes the cream look like someone left it in the attic too long without proper storage. But this VIBE, especially with the musical instruments in the background, is very pleasant — as if we are all entering a cocktail party at her house where the air has been lightly scented with a custom fragrance, her cocktails are ice cold and have beautiful flowers floating in them, and every crudite is easy to eat one-handed. Allison would never do us, or her outfit, dirty.
