Technically, this event is called ” the 26th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival Honors & Variety’s 10 Actors To Watch.” And, listen, no judgement: Newport is lovely and a very easy weekend drive from Los Angeles. Why not pop down to the Balboa Bay Club/Resort and try to sweet talk some Academy voters on a nice fall weekend? Sounds nice to me.
