George Hobeika is from Lebanon, and I believe he staged this crowd-free runway show in Beirut, sending no fewer than 50 looks down the cement catwalk. Now, I am all for fashion chilling out a bit and not going back to triple-digit looks, but I was surprisingly moved seeing something that looked so much like a traditional runway show. Sitting here, in the heart of Covid hellfire, it was like a sliver of optimism that the world will return to us and we to it. Am I reaching? Maybe. Lord, I’m boring now.
