Well, we made it through another terrible week.  I know a lot of folks took part in the general strike today to protest ICE’s outrageous, terrifying occupation of Minnesota, and to call to an ending to ICE’s funding, especially in the wake of the murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. If you are one of those people, we support you and thank you. There are some shopping links in this round-up today as per usual, but please know that we absolutely endorse you not buying anything if that’s part of your protest. Additionally, we will be donating all income from affiliate links on January 30 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. (edited on Monday to add that Friday’s affiliate income was $192.5o so I rounded up to $200.)

As a reminder, Stand With Minnesota is also a great resource if you want to provide financial support to our friends there; they have provided a wide and varied round-up of ways to help.

At Drinks With Broads this week, Heather indulged her laundry obsessions and I dove deep into French chateaux for us to buy. We also tackled Olympics songs, pink eye, Ponies, more Oscar bait, The Night Manager, and more. And! We have a fresh new Heated Rivalry recap!

Here at GFY, I rounded up some cute stuff for Lunar New Year (I love writing this post every year), and we also talked about the glamorous world of deodorant. As a heads up, Sunday is the Grammys — yes, this upcoming Sunday. We’ll be hosting a live chat at Drinks With Broads during the red carpet and telecast, and you’ll be able to find complete red carpet coverage here on Monday, so please come on by both places!

I just got the terrible news that Catherine O’Hara died. This is so upsetting! I don’t know what else to say, this super sucks and I’m really sad.

A product recommendation! I’ve been using this Chris “Jennifer Aniston’s Hairdresser” McMillian’s blow dry spray for the last few weeks and it is VERY VERY good. (It also smells amazing; I do not know how he did this but the smell takes me right back to the beach, 1984. I think it somehow smells EXACTLY like a sunscreen my mother used to use.) The directions note that you should use A LOT of product and it’s true you basically cannot overdo it.

Congrats, now you’ll be able to buy that Heated Rivalry fleece. Another gift from our Canadian friends!

A really interesting take on the new season of Bridgerton — which comes out today.
