It’s Labor Day weekend, already. This summer flew by. We’ll be back posting as usual on Tuesday; have a great long weekend if you get to take one!

At Drinks With Broads this week, I recapped the first Downton Abbey movie! We wondered if album variants have gone to far and if we should reboot The Love Boat. And we cover the Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce engagement, that terrible new W cover, and the gift shop at the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum.

We had a lot of good chats here this week: In honor of college football kicking off, we talked about game-day snacks! We also talked about everyone’s comfort watches. And I rounded up the summer best-sellers.

Also, the Venice Film Festival has started — catch up with our coverage here!

Jia Tolentino rips into the new Elizabeth Gilbert book, which does — to be clear — sound TOTALLY UNHINGED.

Also totally wild: Old master painting looted by Nazis spotted in Argentinian property listing.

I love how deep into logistics Sarah got here in writing about her upcoming TIFF coverage for The Squawk.

A really interesting read: The 138-Year Secret to Building a Perfect Summer Getaway

This is so good: Before pickle priests and jousters, this is the story of the first Renaissance Fair. This is MY Renaissance Fair. I haven’t been for ages but I loved it in high school. A high school friend is currently their Queen Elizabeth!!!

I just love this house.

Something new and fun to argue about: Every Denzel Washington Movie, Ranked

I’m angry about this: ESPN Demotes Wrong Culprit From Lousy NBA Finals Commentary Team

Whoa: Bayeux Tapestry to return to England after almost 1,000 years. (Not forever.)

Good news for a lot of you, I know: America’s ‘Taskmaster’ Obsession No Longer Has To Wait. I feel like I need to start watching this!

For you The Summer I Turned Pretty fans: Inside the Dreamy Coastal Sets of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’

Tell me more: Inside the outrageous food and drink options at 2025 US Open. (I’ll read anything about food and drink options at sporting events.)

Related: It was SO fun watching Venus Williams and Leylah Fernandez win their doubles set yesterday. (I LOVE Venus.)

Lainey and I both enjoy how blabby Ed Kelce is. Tell us everything, Ed!

Fun, at the Ringer: The Best Under-10-Minute Movie Performances of the 21st Century

My friend Amy Spalding’s Everything I Wore feature is unfailingly delightful.

You had me at “fancy snacks:” A Guide to Martie, the Online Store That Sells Fancy Snacks at a Huge Discount.

Beam me there: ‘This Swiss Village Is As Picturesque As It Gets—With the World’s Steepest Gondola, Gorgeous Waterfalls, and a 360-degree Rotating Mountaintop Restaurant”

Have you been playing Pips? (I love it.)

As it’s Labor Day weekend, there are approximately a million sales currently happening. I’m corralling all the ones I think Fug Nation might enjoy here below, so if you aren’t shopping right now, you can just zip on past. If you are, however, there are a LOT of sales:

– Ruti is having a big big sale — up to 70% off! I LOVE their pants. My favorite ones are not part of the sale but they do have a new color.

– As I mentioned earlier this week, J.Crew is having a very large sale. (I literally had a dream that I bought a bunch of stuff from J.Crew last night, although in my dream I was really excited about bodysuits? I don’t know.) I’m going to stock up on these tee shirts. J.Crew Factory’s sale is even MORE extreme. This rugby is really cute. I LOVE this field jacket. And this corduroy shirt dress scratches all my back to school shopping itches.

– Old Navy is also super marked down. I love their long-sleeved tees.

–Rōz Haircare is running a deal where if you buy 2 items, you get 20% off. I have liked everything I’ve ever bought from them. I love their shampoo/conditioner (also, you can just buy refills for their bottles, which I like), and I am about out of this hair serum, which is GREAT.

– I’ve also been using In Common’s Magic Myst 4-in-1 lately and I like it so much. We have a 30% off code for them: FugGirls. (Earlier this week, I was like, my hair looks SO much better, what is the deal? I think it was this.)

– Banana Republic is having a BIG one; up to 50% plus an extra 20% off. If you’re still in a linen mood — it does stay warm here in LA through, like, October — this dress is very cute. I love this swing-y little mini. These pants seem like they might be good for that summer-fall transition?

Parker Thatch is having a sale and they NEVER have sales. (It’s probably for the best that the insane bag I want is not included but a hobo in the same pink suede IS.)

– Supergoop is offering 20% off with the code SUPER20 — you need sunscreen year round!

– Do you need some bras? ThirdLove is up to 30% site-wide. I LOVE their tee-shirt bra. The half-sizes are a game changer, I don’t know why it took so long to think of this. Also, our code still works there for an extra 10% off: HEATHERJESSICA10

– Wayfair basically alway has a big sale during three day weekends, and they are this weekend, too. They’re running their usual up to 70% off clearance (plus free and easy shipping if you spend more than $35). I tend to enjoy tootling around Wayfair; you can definitely find cute stuff there and they have good pet things. Like, this is a legitimately nice cat kitty litter enclosure, a sentence I’ve NEVER TYPED BEFORE. They’ve also got a lot of good lamps — lamps are so expensive! — like this cute pair.  I also like this chair.

–Finally, Frame is having a big denim sale if you need jeans. I love their flares. (The site says they’re rigid but I find them really comfy? If you wear vintage Levis ever, Frame jeans feel like pajamas.)

PHEW! I told you there was a lot. Happy shopping!
