I kind of love that Lady Mary is doing an action thriller, because — unless Downton Abbey takes a very unexpected turn — it’s so very un-Mary. And Lupita Nyong’o is in it, too, although she skipped the Paris premiere, perhaps smartly saving her style mojo for the BAFTAs and the Oscars. Anyway, Non-Stop is apparently Liam Neeson as an air marshal who is told a passenger will die every twenty minutes unless yada yada yada, because I guess Liam Neeson is the new Harrison Ford. This of this as Taken: My Plane.

And enter Michelle Dockery… as the woman he loves:

I actually have no idea if that’s true, but it SHOULD be. He SHOULD love Michelle Dockery. Everyone else does. And she looks great here in a simple little black dress with a cool belt, a subtle but still very much present lip, nice black shoes that are beyond your basic round-toe platform, and a shiny clutch. This is so simple, but so sophisticated, and makes you hypnotized by her skin and her bone structure. And not an ounce of bronzer in sight, Hollywood. See? You CAN be person-colored.

Julianne Moore is also in this movie:

Do we think she and Michelle used the same makeup artist? That lipstick looks familiar. However, it also works. I like the shoes and the rings and the bag, also, but I think maybe her left hand could’ve ditched the index-finger adornment and gone with a bracelet instead for variety. As for the dress… what is it doing? The architecture is interesting, but it’s also bulging out to the side in strange places. See it up there on the left? It does that on the other side, too:

Is something building a fort in there? Somebody please help her find a dress that deserves to be underneath that face.
