Ruth Negga is adept at making loud garments do her bidding, so she didn’t NEED the sunglasses in order for this to work, but I really like the effect with them. It creates a very specific Chill Rebel vibe, taking this from “talk show guest” to “person you want to sit next to at the dinner party, because she won’t censor any of her stories, and you know she’s gonna tell a LOT of them.”
