Okay, her skirt is not a perfect match to the drapes, but it’s so close. It seems too specific for Elle NOT to have coordinated intentionally? And yet, she looks adorable, even in a skirt made out of whatever Fraulein Maria had lying around. She still pops in the shot — with the help of the bear, I guess. I hope he plays an integral role in season three. In fact, if any show felt likely to bring in its own kind of Cocaine Bear, or perhaps Opium Bear, it would be The Great.
Sidebar: I hope the Emmys DO properly consider her and Nicholas Hoult, as they each deserve something for this show. Coverage of the strike has gotten hysterical from some of these outlets, who seem bent on implying that it’s the scribes who are RUINING THINGS for everyone. I saw a headline about how the WGA strike is throwing Emmy campaigning into arrears, to which I say: You know what ELSE is going to throw the Emmys into arrears? Having no shows next season, so protect and pay the writers who are giving you that prestige TV, folks. You can do it, and you freaking know it.
