There are several reasons a person would put this array of garments on her body:
a) You are 94 years old and need to go outside and water your plants, so you throw on some random pants under your house dress to do that.
b) It is 94 degrees and the HVAC repair people show up early to fix your AC so you throw on some random pants under your nightgown and pretend you’re just wearing this intentionally to let them in.
c) It is 1994.
