Swarm is a new horror show for Amazon created by Donald Glover, about a fan who is driven to insanity by her fandom for a pop-star, and the assorted dark twists that parasocial relationships could take. Per THR:
“It’s based on true events,” Glover said of the series, which he described as “a post-truth TV show.”
I have no idea what that means! But reviews out of its South By Southwest screening are very good; it stars Domonique Fishback, Chloe Bailey, and (briefly, I think?) Billie Eilish, AND there is a Culkin in it (Rory) and they’re all the rage, so there you go.
