Couture Week is right around the corner — sincerely, I believe it starts on Monday — and yet here’s Dior with over a hundred resort looks coming down a runway in Seville. As much as I appreciate the content, and I am loath to kill the party, I am compelled to wonder if high fashion has too many freaking clothes in too many freaking seasons. Doesn’t it feel like a tightly polished 25 outfits per quarter would be ideal? For EVERYONE? Because there’s homage and then there’s “Mariachi costume-y,” and at times this tips into the latter for me. And then the final dress says FUEGO on it. I think everyone needs a nap.
